Hello, I’m making this post more so to vent about not being able to find a job here in Japan.
I have consistently been applying for a new job for the past 4-5 months. EVERY SINGLE posting I can find and something always happens to where I can’t get the job. I have had numerous jobs list they don’t require driving, only to interview, pass the interview, and say it’s required. Not only that, but Iv’e applied to Joy Talk, Altia, and they both ghosted me after saying “You’re a good fit and we’ll be in touch.” I am SICK AND TIRED of working at these stupid fucking english schools where I have listen to these nasty rich kids complain and shitty bosses who only want to use me for a quick buck. I am TIRED of having to constantly go above and beyond because of Japan’s ridiculous customer culture. I legit want to throw my computer across the room…
Like WHY is it SO difficult to get a FUCKIN ALT job…im OVERQUALIFIED, and yet every time I apply to jobs saying “IMMEDIATE START,” I can’t even land ONE job. Not even ONE?! I am trying so desperately to have a good life in Japan but I CANT DO THAT when i work 11 hour days and EVERY WEEKEND and EVERY holiday and EVERY festival and EVERY EVENT GOING ON…I want to give up so badly. But I cant just leave Japan…my partner is here and life back in the US is awful. When will this suffering end…
