Hello! I (27/F) have been living in Japan for a few months and am tiring of the single lifestyle. I’ve made a lot of friends while here but I’m not really sure how to go about looking for more than that. Dating culture in Japan kind of befuddles me, it seems very different than in Europe.
Are there any good places to meet new people? I’m not opposed to hookups but I would at least like there to be some idea that it could lead to something more so I’d prefer a bar/izakaya/place you can actually hold a conversation over somewhere like a nightclub. I speak Japanese at work and with my Japanese friends so language barrier issues should be minimal. I liked the idea of Aisekiya but my female friends are in relationships so that’s unfortunately off the table…
