So my employer told me they are changing the team structure.
My team has been downsizing but they have already chosen a new employee to be hired in the same grade and role that I’m in now and I’m being told the team is now full and I have to apply for either of two open roles or that HR will “provide a compensation for searching externally” i e. Dismissal.
The two roles i can apply for is the manager role for the team I’m in now (yeah right good luck) or a similar role which may or may not fit me well in another team.
I have a feeling they’re trying to get rid of me cause the company hasn’t been doing great for a while but anyone know if they can do this? And if so what kind of “compensation” i can expect?
