I want a more relaxed itinerary, I appreciate your time to judge if my itinerary would made me rushing like mad.

Anyway, here is the itinerary.

* Afternoon: Depart flight to Tokyo

*Day 1 – Ikebukuro*

* Morning: Ikebukuro Life safety center
* Afternoon: Pokemon Center
* Afternoon: Gashapon
* Late afternoon: Animate main store
* Evening: Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre

*Day 2 – Shibuya and Shinjuku*

* Morning: Meiji Jingu
* Afternoon: Shibuya
* Evening: Golden Gai

*Day 3 – Asakusa and Akihabara*

* Morning: Senso-ji
* Morning: Ueno Park
* Afternoon: Akihabara

*Day 4 – Toyosu Market and Ginza*

* Early Morning: Toyosu Market
* Morning: Tsukiji Market
* Afternoon: TeamLab Borderless
* Evening: Ginza

*Day 5 – Transit to Kyoto*

* Morning: Imperial Palace
* Noon: Tokyo Station
* Afternoon: Transit – Tokyo to Kyoto Shinkansen
* Evening: Kamo River

*Day 6 – Southeast of Kyoto*

* Early morning: Fushimi Inari Taisha
* Morning: Kiyomizu-deru
* Afternoon: Higashiyama
* Evening: Gion

*Day 7 – Arashiyama and temples*

* 8:00am: Breakfast
* 9:00am: Tenryuu-ji
* 9:30am: Arashiyama Bamboo Forest
* 10:00am: Okochi-sanso
* 11:00am: Arashiyama Observation Deck
* 12:00pm: Lunch
* 1:00pm: Katsuragawa Pathway & Togetsuyo Bridge
* 1:30pm: Head back to hotel
* 2:30pm – 4:30pm: Bath and Rest
* 4:30pm onwards: Free & Easy (not sure what to do yet)

*Day 8 – Osaka*

* Morning: Nishiki Market
* Afternoon: Transit – Kyoto to Osaka
* Late Afternoon: Osaka Castle
* Evening: Dotonbori

*Day 9*

* Morning: Return flight from Osaka

  1. I mean however you want to count days isn’t super relevant.

    Your Kyoto full days seem a bit packed, mostly because those things are all super popular and crammed with tourists into small spaces, otherwise it seems like an okay itinerary.

  2. I’d skip Arashiyama if you are only going to the bamboo forest. There is a small one at Kodai-ji close to Kiyomizudera, perhaps that is an option with less tourists and travel?

  3. Probably likes anime, etc.

    There are plenty of gashapon in Akihabara, so I don’t see the need to see them in Ikebukuro.
