Do International Companies in Japan share the same horrible work culture with any traditional or domestic Japanese Companies?

Has anyone here ever worked for an international company in Japan? I’ve been offered a chance to work in Japan by an international company, but I won’t mention any names. The CEO or boss in the branch isn’t really Japanese; he’s American, and most of us are foreigners. (I don’t think racism would be an issue here; it mostly boils down to whether an employee is a total douche or incompetent). Only a handful are Japanese. Seeing this, along with the sad, almost depressing Japanese work culture, I’m curious if it also influences foreign or international companies or businesses. Plus, I don’t think I want to “live” in Japan because, firstly, I don’t really speak the language, and my knowledge about Japan is limited to anime and other media.
