If you have a half day where you’re looking for something to do, might I suggest doing a self guided Tokyo Toilet Project tour?
Perfect Days was my favorite movie that came out last year and I was obsessed with looking for those toilets while I’m in Tokyo. There are 17 toilets in the Shibuya area designed by architects and designers and they’re all pretty special in their own way. All have access for children and handicapped folks. I started out near Shimokitazawa and headed north and east. Not only do you get good toilet spots you can walk thru parks and pretty residential streets.
I realize it’s weird to go toilet hunting but the designs are pretty great! Heading to toilet #6 now.
