I recently came across a discussion about the pronunciation challenges faced by native speakers of different languages. It was mentioned that Japanese speakers often find it difficult to pronounce the English ‘R’ sound, while there was a claim that American speakers also struggle to accurately pronounce the Japanese ‘R-L’ sound. Given that these sounds do not directly correspond to each other in these languages, I’m curious to hear more opinions on this. Can Americans pronounce the Japanese R-L sound correctly, or is it rather impossible or at least very difficult? (らりるれろ)
