Hi Everyone!
I haven’t been to Japan for about 7 years and decided to treat myself to a 2 week solo trip around early June. This includes a week in Kyoto as I went there as a kid about 20 years ago and have no memory so I kinda wanna make my own memories this time lol. I’m also currently in the process of confirming restaurant bookings etc. as I guess this can be considered mostly an eating trip haha
I know June is rainy season so will get an umbrella when I arrive and maybe bring a rain coat from home or something… Other than the early mornings, average planned days are about 8am-10pm (wakeup >> back to hotel). I’ve got a nice pair of comfy walking shoes to get ready for all the walking.
Would appreciate any other addition advice!

* **DAY 1**
\- Plane lands at Narita about 11AM
\- Immigration/Luggage approx 1.5-2 hours finish at 1:30PM
\- Bus to hotel in central Tokyo
\- Check-in at hotel in Ginza
\- Head to late lunch/early dinner at Tsujihan (Nihonbashi? Akasaka Ark Hills? around 4pm)
\- Back to Ginza for shopping/go to depachika to buy snacks/browse?
\- back to hotel to rest
* **DAY 2**
\- Shirohige Cream Puff factory
\- Shopping in Shimokitazawa area
\- Mori Art Museum
\- Dinner in Aoyama (Reserved).
* **DAY 3**
\- Early morning to Tsukiji area
\- Check-out to change to leave luggage at 2nd hotel (also in Ginza)
\- Godaime Hanayama Udon Lunch (start queuing from 11/10:30AM >> hopefully will be able to eat by 12:30/1pm?).
\- Head to Shinjuku
\- Shinuku Takano Fruits Parlor
\- Shopping in Shinjuku / Take picture of Studio Alta (it’s closing down next Feb!)
\- Check-in at new hotel
\- Head to Ikebukuro
\- Shopping & Dinner with friend in Ikebukuro
* **DAY 4**
\- Arrange luggage delivery to Kyoto
\- Colour Analysis session
\- Head to Lunch in Jiyugaoka
\- Head back to Ginza for shopping
\- Head back to hotel to arrange luggage storage
\- Dinner plans TBC
* **DAY 5**
\- Check out of hotel at 8:30am
\- 9-10am head to Tokyo station and get an ekiben
\- Shinkansen to Kyoto at 10:30 arrive at 12:44
\- Leave luggage at hotel and find lunch nearby
\- Obentobako Museum
\- Check-in at hotel
\- Rest/get ready for dinner
\- Kaiseki Dinner reservation (booked)
* **DAY 6**
\- Kyoto Food Culture Museum
\- Lunch at Mishima-Tei (booking confirmed)
\- Myonlyfragrance
\- Rokujuan Shimizu
\- Netsuke Museum
\- Yasaka Shrine
\- Gion Corner (booked)
\- Walk around Potoncho for a bit
\- Head to Kyoto station for a bit of early souvenir shopping/ eat dinner there.
* **DAY 7**
\- Early morning to Fushimi Inari Shrine/ Hike (giving myself approx. 3 hours? is that enough?)
\- Head back to hotel to refresh for a bit (1 hour)
\- Nishiki Market
\- Kyoto Cultural Museum
\- KYOCERA Art Museum (Ghibli Exhibition tickets booked!)
\- Shop in Kawaramachi
\- Dinner in Kawaramachi
* **DAY 8**
\- Early morning to Arashiyama area
\- Togetsukyo Bridge
\- Lunch and shop in Arashiyama
\- Kinkakuji
\- Kyogashi museum
\- Toraya Kyoto Gallery
\- Neesima Residence
\- Rest/get ready for dinner
\- Dinner reservation confirmed
* **DAY 9**
\- Day trip to Harie (9am-5pm)
\- Kaiseki Dinner reservation (booked)
DAY 10
\- Check-out to bring luggage to new hotel
\- Nijo Castle
\- Lunch
\- Mikane Shrine
\- Flea market?
\- Back to check-in at new hotel
\- Rest/get ready for dinner
\- Kaiseki Dinner reservation (booked)
* **DAY 11**
\- Early morning Yasaka Pagoda Shoot/Kiyomizu Dera
\- Breakfast at hotel
\- Arrange luggage to send to Tokyo
\- Ninenzaka/Sanenzaka
\- Lunch
\- Gion district shopping
\- Ryozen Museum
\- Head back to hotel to rest
\- Dinner reservation TBC
* **DAY 12**
\- Shinkansen to Tokyo arrives at 12:30
\- Leave bags at hotel and head to Asakusa Area
\- Lunch in Asakusa
\- Kappabashi
\- Marugoto Nippon Asakusa
\- Dinner in Asakusa?
\- Head back to hotel to check-in
* **DAY 13**
\- Ghibli Museum (TBC but probs impossible to get anyways will see lol)
\- Lunch with Friend
\- Head to Shibuya for shopping
\- Head back to hotel to rest
\- Sushi Omakase booked
* **DAY 14**
\- Shopping at Tokyo station (2 hours)
\- Shopping in Ginza (2 hours)
\- Lunch reservation confirmed
\- Go to Post office if I have too much stuff lol
\- Return to hotel to pack up luggage
\- Dinner reservation confirmed
* **DAY 15**
\- Flight back home at noon.
