I’ll be spending 4 days and 3 nights on Yakushima in late May. I’m currently set on renting a car for 3 out of 4 of those days and am currently questioning whether it will be worth to extend it for another morning.
My current itinerary is
**Day 1**
Arrive at 10am and pick up car
Drive around island and visit waterfalls and observation decks
Possibly visit Inakahama Beach to try and catch the turtles
Onsens
**Day 2**
Shiratani and Yakusugi
If I have time I’ll probably hit up onsens again haha
**Day 3**
Jomon Sugi (This will probably take up my entire day)
I’ll either return the car on this day at 6pm or the next day at 1130am
**Day 4**
Flight is at 1230pm so I’m unsure of what I can do even if I were to start the day at 5am with a car. Hence I’m considering saving some money and catching the bus instead
