I am planning a solo trip to Japan in April 2025 and would like some recommendations/advice/tips on my current itinerary, especially recommendations for 3 nights in between Kyoto and Kiso-gun. I want to experience some of the city life, but I am mainly interested in getting into rural traditional japan. I love to hike and do outdoor activites. I am more interested in gardens, historical sites, and beautiful scenery than city activites (shopping) but I definitely will take any food/restaurant recommendations!
