I’ve noticed a lot of Uzbeks working in service industry jobs in Tokyo, and I know Japan has some programs to provide working visas to fill combini roles and such, but, why always Uzbekistan, and not e.g. Mongolia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, or Kyrgyzstan? Is the Uzbek government just that friendly with Japan, or are some complex geopolitics at work? Is it proactive on either parties side?
