I am going to Japan from 28.04 – 18.05. Unfortunately, I realized that the first week is a very busy time in Japan.
From 28.04-01.05 I will be in Tokyo this time is the least of my worries, but what worries me is the journey from Tokyo to Takayama, as I have received the JR-Railpass by postal mail I cannot make an online reservation. Will I have problems to reserve a seat on a train if I do this on 28.04 in Tokyo for 02.05 to Takayama?
I am also traveling from Takayama to Kanazawa on 04.05. Originally I thought I could do this by bus and make a short stopover in Shirakawa-go. As this trip also falls in the busy period, will this be possible or will the road to Shirakawa-go be jammed so I can’t get there by bus?
