Hey so I will be attempting the MEXT scholarship this year to try to enroll in a masters program in a Japanese university in 2025, and I wanted to get some insight from people that have actually experienced Japan firsthand.
I have gathered some info on the universities that interest me and have courses available in my area of study, but obviously besides the quality of education and that kind of thing what matters the most to me is where I’ll actually end up living if I do get there.
The main options that I have founded are located in the cities of Kyoto, Nagoya, Kobe, Sendai and of course, Tokyo. Out of those five , which ones do you think are best suited for an international uni student ?
I have a preference for major big cities, and I know that Tokyo obviously has a much higher living cost than pretty much the entire rest of Japan, but still I’m pretty hyped up about the idea of living in there. What do you think ?
