Leaving Japan for at least a couple of years with PR. Update my bank to avoid a frozen account?

I’m leaving the country with permanent residency (I will get a 5 year re entry permit) and I’m wondering if it’s worth informing my bank (Shinsei) about my residence status (in hopes that I don’t receive that paper notification in the mail – which won’t be possible as I don’t plan on having an address).
