British citizens who have paid voluntary tax contributions

Hi all,

If there are any of you who are British citizens that have paid voluntary contributions for NI, Id be keen to understand the following.

Question:
In the form (CF83), section 5 (volunteer development workers) what does this mean? When Googling this is seems to indicate this is some special class (description below) that I would not fall into. Should I skip this or just put my current salary on a monthly basis converted to GBP?

I tired calling a number of times and have never got though.

Description of volunteer development worker as per gov.uk site:
A volunteer development worker is a person whom HMRC has agreed that they may pay the special rate of Class 2 NIC because they are:

1. ordinarily resident in Great Britain or Northern Ireland; and
2. employed outside of the United Kingdom; and
3. working for an organisation approved by the Inland Revenue; and
4. working in a country which HMRC recognises as a developing country.
