Impact has been NJPW’s main working relationship in the US for the past 2-3 years. But it seems to be quietly fading away.
Points suggesting the working relationship is still on:
Kushida and Knight are still appearing on both shows. Kushida has two separate contracts but Knight seems to be allowed to freely compete for both.
Ospreay and Okada wrestled in January while still under NJPW contract
Nemeth and Ali are wrestling for both companies.
Hiromu commented that he wanted to challenge for Ali’s X division championship.
Points suggesting it has quietly ended:
The new MLW relationship with Riddle, Rocky, Lawlor and Kojima benefiting heavily.
TNA now has a working relationship with AAA whilst MLW and AEW are working closer with CMLL.
To my knowledge Nemeth has not been carrying or defending the Global title in TNA.
I have also heard that ABC has slowly gotten rid of any Bullet Club branding.
There has been no mention of a multiverse show this year, It would have been a great time for one with Nemeth holding a NJPW championship.
I guess we will really find out who NJPW’s main us partner is the next time a young lion goes on excursion or if a major crossover show besides Forbidden Door is announced.
