My fiancee and I are planning to have our honeymoon vacation in japan .Since she grew up being extremely interested in asian culture, especially the media. For instance japanese anime and japanese drama. Therefore I decided to have japan as our first marriage vacation. As it’s more and more likely for the country to open up for tourist we wish to take the chance of not only seeing the culture but also have a memorable and relaxing hanabi honeymoon time. Hopefully it can happen, finger crossed.
Its my second time and I have already done most of the stuff on my list but it’s her first time visiting japan, so I can’t skip the must do places.
I am all for rellocating time from one place for another. If you got any advice or want to share your experience.
Note:She loves the sea view and beaches as well as swimming. (Sadly not summer)She loves smaller city or villages as well as nature. She loves cute things especially decoration stuff. She loves good food. She also loves big cities for adventure.
If nothing will work out Thailand can still be our second choice.

Hanabi is firework, you mean hanami, that is watching flowers.
I would go to Hakone rather than Kawaguchiko just because it will be much easier to move to Takayama from there. However, if you think about going to Okuhida, you could do Kawaguchiko, then continue to Matsumoto to see the castle, stay for the night. Take the bus to Takayama via Oku-hida. However, that would probably add an extra day compared to the current plan.
Doing Himeji on the same day as Kanazawa is not really realistic. It’s almost 4h on the train and Himeji castle close at 4pm, so you would have to visit almost everything in Kanazawa in a morning… instead just go to Osaka at the end of the day. If you want to go to Himeji, do it as it’s own daytrip with a possible stop via Kobe on the way back.
Just for a single day in Osaka proper, you could also decide to only stay in Kyoto the whole time and just do Osaka as a daytrip from Kyoto.
Nara, absolutely do not miss Todai-ji.
Not too sure where you plan to take your hotel, but in Kyoto I would suggest the Kawaramachi/Gion/Sanjo area, it have decent connection to other parts of the city and there is more interesting to walk around at the end of the day than around Kyoto station.
