Please give as many suggestions as possible and roast any of the current itinerary if you think it’s wrong or unreasonable.
Some background, my partner is really interested in modern Japan (theme parks, pokomon and Nintendo) I would like to mix in more traditional Japan as well. Additionally my partner is not great with big crowds so I’m trying to be conscious of that although obviously cannot be completely avoided.
My partner will already be in Japan and still working the day I arrive so this gives me 1 solo day in Tokyo.
Day 1 Sunday 30th June: Tokyo (solo day)

Animal cafe (are there any not controversial suggestions)
Some shrines?
Japanese gardens?
Any other suggestions for solo day?
As I will be alone I am thinking a capsule hotel but my inter feminist is furious it cost twice as much for women 😱
Day 2 Monday 1st July : Hakone
As my partner will have just finished a 3 week work tour I thought a nice onsen this day but he is not comfortable being naked and I have tattoos so are the bathing suit onsens in hakone (yunessun) any good?
Any good suggestions for food and activity’s in hakone?
This will be a day trip and we will head back to Tokyo in the evening

We are planning on really taking advantage of tokyos 24 hour city status as we have early flights the next day.
Other things:
We are aware it’s going to be very hot and so I’ve tried not to over fill the day in case we need to rest.
We would also like to fit in a cooking class at some point.
We really wanted to do the kurogane knife making but not sure we can realistically get there?
