We currently have a May trip planned for the week after golden week. We are a family with 2 young children. 1 toddler and 1 baby. We are also we are traveling with grandparents so that we will have plenty of help.
The plan is always to do something that can be done with the kids in the morning but to have the evening to ourselves (grandparents also need rest).
DAY 1:

*Taxi to the Hotel
The flight lands at 2230. What are my options of getting an IC CARD? I have given up on catching a train, but take a taxi into town.

– EVENING: Tokyo Dome City (asabono). The toddler’s birthday celebration.
DAY 4
– MORNING: Shopping
– EVENING: akihabara
DAY 5
– By Train Early Morning at Tsukiji Outer Market
– Bus to Teamlabs Planets
– Ship Luggage to Osaka and Kyoto
– Shibuya crossing
– Shibuya Parco
DAY 6
– early morning fuji excursion limited express train to kawaguchiko
– hope for mt fuji viewing.
DAY 7
– more fuji viewing
– Bus to Mishima
– Shinkansen to Kyoto
DAY 8
– MORNING: Kimono Rental and family hotoshoot day.
– Kiyomizu dera
DAY 9
– MORNING: By Train Early Morning at Fushimi Inari Shrine
– Back Home Base for Rest and Breakfast
– Nishiki Market in the Afternoon.
– EVENING: Pontocho Alley for Dinner
DAY 10
– Sunrise at Gion
– Visited Yasaka Pagoda
– Sannenzaka Street & Ninenzaka Street
– Takeaway some food and Rest at home
– Leave to Osaka by 1500. Do i need to prebook this Kyoto-Osaka Leg?
DAY 11-DAY 16
– Osaka Castle, Yasaka Shrine, Umeda Sky building, Aquarium
– EVENING: Dotonbori, shinsekai, Shopping
– Day trip to Nara.
– these are suppose to be rest and slower days.
My toddler is at the age where he is easily fascinated, wants to be active and is very expressive. Does anyone else have additional location suggestions such as asobono?
