I lost my wallet the other day, and I went back to police and found it.
Now, I was a bit stressed cause my Japanese is mediocre and like I might have missed some details. When the guy gave me back my wallet he said something like we found it at this location and “something something renraku”, then immediately asked me to sign some paper with name etc… I said thank and left cause had to go to work.
Now literally 5minutes later when on the way, I just repassed the discussion in my head and was he telling me that the person didn’t let his contact or was he telling me if I wanted to get that person contact. I should take more time to stop people when I don’t fully understand, so that’s on me, but yeah I really wanted to thank the person that found the wallet and returned with everything inside.
I can’t go back right now to the police office and I am unsure if I can disturb them just to check if that person let the contact or not cause I didn’t listen properly but this is going to be stuck in my head for the next weeks so I was wondering if someone went trought the same process.
If the person leave the contact, would they make it more clear and give you the details even if you don’t directly ask for ? Or it sounds more like the person just didn’t want to get contacted.
He should have take my money I would have feel happier xD
