I am looking to reserve a spot for dinner at the Kikunoi Roan in Kyoto. As I am about to complete the reservation, I see that the dress code is “business casual.” However, after a Google search, I see that the concept isn’t common in Japan, and that the code would be more near to business professional in the United States. Can anyone help me understand what a typical dress code would be understood to be in this situation? Unfortunately, I don’t have a suit, just a button down, dark jeans, and white shoes so it may look like I won’t make the cut. Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
