Update: thanks everyone. I didn’t have to go to JR. I went to the guard at the subway. Told them what happened. He was able to search that it was last used in Hiroshima but never finished the trip. Showed my JR pass and he understood right away. Then he was able to open the actual subway machine, enter a code and reset my Suica and then I used it to enter properly. Thanks for all your help!
So I have the Suica card on my phone (bought through Apple Wallet, not a transfer from a card).
I also have the Setouchi JR West Pass.
I was in Tokyo and now I’m staying Osaka right now and I went to visit Hiroshima for the day today. I forgot that the Setouchi passed allowed me to use the JR Rail Lines in Hiroshima as well.
So I hopped on the JR Rail heading to Miyajima and I scanned my Suica card. But going back I used my JR pass and it worked but that means the journey on Suica card in Hiroshima never ended. When I got back to Osaka I used my Suica to pay for the Osaka subways and twice they said the trip was not charged. The Apple Wallet shows my useage and the Hiroshima one still says the trip is happening and hasn’t ended. It’s been hours.
Do I contact Suica somehow to tell them my problem? I don’t want to delete the Suica card and lose the 8,000 yen I still have on it. I can still pay for the stuff in stores but when it comes to transportation, it seems like it’s refusing to read my card because I’m still on the Hiroshima trip right now.
