I am currently in Japan and purchased Shinkansen tickets through a machine at the Shinjuku station. Round trip from Tokyo to Kyoto and back.
I purchased reserved seating on the Green Car.
It gave me two copies of each ticket from Tokyo to Kyoto and Kyoto to Tokyo.
One says “Fare Ticket” from “Tokyo Ward Area” to “Kyoto” and the other says “Green Car” Tokyo to Kyoto with all the train, seat, and time info
Do I need to use both at the gate? I tried looking through the Shinkansen sites but looked confusing.
Would appreciate any help! Thank you!
