We’ve just moved to a new place and are considering installing a TV antenna.
At my previous place, we had a basic TV and the usual streaming (Netflix, Apple, etc.). I didn’t find the basic TV horrendous —just as most foreigners have fuss about it— there were a few pieces of content that we enjoyed and the disaster warning was useful, however, the 2K per month for NHK —yes, we paid for NHK—is not worth it.
This is the first time I have had to install my TV antenna and looking at other options such as cable TV, it seems cable TV brings more value, and since we’re waiting for the Nuro Hikari installation we were thinking of throwing in their TV service as well.
My questions are:
* Is getting the cable TV and abandoning the TV antenna the best option?
* If we pay for the cable TV, can we stop paying for NHK?
* Or if anybody has other options please let me know.
