I’ve been reading many posts, but I dont think I have enough time to consume all the information and come up with a plan!
I’ve booked tickets before realising how hot it will be in July….I’ve also booked a few things at the start of the trip that should have been at the end of the trip!
Fly into Narita on the 20th July, Mt Fuji summit on the 23rd, hotel near Fuji on the 24th. I need to be back at Narita on the 3rd August (by evening).
Where should we go for the 9 days the 23rd ? We are happy to avoid the heat and crowds at the more famous places (like Kyoto) and do that another time. We are interested in nature, onsen, seafood, villages, interesting architecture. Hoping to get somewhere a little cooler.
I am thinking Hokkaido? Any highlights from that region? Or is it better to go to more southern mountainous regions like the alps? Definitely dont want to be changing hotels every night.
