I’m leaving for Japan in a few days, and my bank gave me a lot of 2000 yen banknotes. I read online that these banknotes are not accepted by everyone, and that the machines do not accept them. Any experiences about it? Do you think I’ll be able to spend it? Is there any place where you can exchange them for 1000 or 5000 yen notes?
