I bought this book on a whim at kinokuniya, but I’m wondering if anyone here has used it and if so did you think it was helpful? Are there better textbooks you’d recommend instead? I’m trying to dip my toe into listening comprehension since that’s my weakest area

i have the reading and grammar for N5 and i like it. I will continue to use the serie for the higher where i have my weak points.
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmErYqlh9qA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmErYqlh9qA) I’m honestly not sure what the source of these are or if they are official or not, but this channel is the reason I passed the N2. The question format is the exact same as the real test afaik and there are ample practice tests available. Each video is long enough that I would listen while walking to work and nothing could have better prepared me for the real test. This is just a personal anecdote, but these practise tests made me so comfortable during the real test that I got 100% on the 聴解 section despite nearly failing the long reading section due to lack of time.
I’m currently doing the N5 one of that series. It’s got some grammatical errors but honestly I’m enjoying it a lot
Useless. Laptops do use CD drives anymore: o am not sure why they keep making textbooks with CDs
I did the N1 for it. It was a while back, so I forget specifics. IMO if it’s more or less level appropriate and follows the testing formal, then it’s a good resource.
Personally I wouldn’t use a book with the words Speed and N2 at the same time on the cover….
