Hi, all. After twenty years in the workforce, I am finally finishing my undergraduate degree at the end of this year. I am discovering new paths to pursue and finding new stories within myself to write. I have been considering graduate programs in Japan that are taught entirely in English, ideally in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. Does anyone know if being substantially older than most applicants will affect their admission decision? How about in the overall work culture? Are specific fields ageist? I have no intention of being a salaryman or working in a business environment, but I’d like to know what to expect in general. Thanks.Â
