Venues for local bands/ musicians around Sapporo

Hello! A friend and I are planning a trip to Sapporo sometime this year (hopefully in the latter half). If we manage to travel I’d love to visit some local venues that would hold gigs in the future. Whether they’re specifically gig venues or cafes that host music nights, I’m game! Would rather not catch popular arena type acts or Top 40s type bands. No disrespect, just not what I’m looking for if we manage to visit. Any and all recommendations would be appreciated. Spaces for events such as art pop ups (not sure if that’s the right term) or smaller movie theaters are also of interest. Thank you!

  2. There is a basement music venue in Shibuya that I went to in 2019. They had metal, punk and rock bands playing. No cover, 500yen beers. Holds maybe 100 people. I don’t know the name or the exact address because it was across the street from the bar I was hanging out at Bar M13 – here’s that address

    There is a Hub on the same side of street as BarM13 so if you’re hanging out in that area, it’s just north of Yoyogi, ask at Hub.

  4. Google jazz club in Sapporo. I’ve been to a few last time I visited and it’s all quite nice
