My partner and I are heading to Tokyo for a wedding in October this year and plan to spend a good month in Japan. We’re looking at heading to Hokkaido before the wedding and spending the 26/9 to 5/10 exploring the north!
We have started planning Hokkaido and came across:

The 7 day itinerary uses the Hokkaido JR 7-Day pass and explores mostly east of Sapporo. I was wondering if anyone has followed a ‘recommended route’ from the JR Hokkaido site or followed the suggested itinerary?
If not, would the time frame/schedule be too hectic or time sensitive? As I am worried that the route may be too rushed and we won’t enjoy the experience. Really, I have no idea what the experience is going to be like but I am so damn excited!!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated too!
