Can someone with experience using PAIDY tell me how it works?

Hello,

I was hoping someone with experience using PAIDY could help me out. I want to make a 1 time purchase using paidy for 5000 yen. My wife usually makes a bank transfer for a specific online store but she is away for a while and not able to, so I was wondering if it is easy to use Paidy myself, even though my Japanese is low. I haven’t been able to understand the exact details of payment from their website or other sites on Google.

1. My understanding from the website is that you can purchase immediately, and then pay your bill the following month. Does this mean, once you make the purchase, and paidy sends you the SMS code you enter into the websites payment details, it is considered “paid” and the shop will send you the purchased goods immediately, before the bill is actually paid by me in person? (I ask because it says it sends you a bill between the first and third of the following month but can you pay it before the bill arrives?
2. It says you don’t need to use the app (from the website ->”If you do not have the app, please pay at the convenience store below using the payment acceptance number that will be sent to you via email and SMS.”) and since I only want to use it once, I just want to go to Family Mart and pay in person with cash. Is following the purchase instructions and paying at the convenience store a really simple process that requires little to no Japanese at the convenience store? Just show them the paidy details and pay in cash? (I’m aware there is a small fee for payment at a convenience store).

If anyone can answer these questions, it would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
