Hello everyone, I am looking for assistance and advice and hopefully somebody can help me out. I am moving my japanese wife and son to Tokyo this summer, where he will be attending university and she will take care of him for the first year. She will not work at all during this time and will not have a Japanese income. I will remain living and working in the United States and will pay for all expenses. My income is approx 60 million yen and is easy to provide proof of that. Since she will not be working, will we have a difficult time finding a place? I’ve given her a 400,000 yen ceiling for rent, but my concern is how difficult it will be for someone to rent to them because of their situation. Has anybody here been through that? What have you done to get your family settled if you have? What I have a better experience going through foreign friendly agents instead of Japanese agents? If anyone here can point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.
