Hello!
This June I am coming to Japan for a few months to do a research internship at a university.
I know gift giving is a big part of Japanese culture, and I wanted to make sure I do the appropriate thing. So I want to know if I should bring a gift for my internship supervisor with who I will be working with.
Since I am French, I was thinking of a nice bottle of red wine. I will also be traveling before the internship so I was also thinking of Omiyage?
Any advice would be helpful. Thank you!!
