Small business, accepting USD to a US bank

We are opening a small cafe in the countryside but have had some success selling online to customers outside of Japan.

My husband is American and therefore has an American bank account; seeing that many of our customers are in the US, I thought it might be easier for them to make payments in the future to that account which would save them having to pay transfer fees.

I foresee there being issues with income being earned and kept in the US for a Japanese based business but wanted to know what other issues there might be or laws that we might unknowingly violating if we did that. Is there any benefit to doing this or are we just creating more headaches to try and save customers a little money and hopefully encourage more people to buy (we get messages saying “oh we would love to try your coffee but the transfer fees are expensive). I forgot to mention, we don’t use paypal or credit cards due to fear of charge backs :/

Thank you in advance and apologies for my ignorance! We are new to business and “money stuff” in general and are learning!
