Been moving JPY to the US using Wise lately. It is convenient and I am assuming it is net better than regular banks on exchange rate plus fees. Now I have USD in some Japan banks that I need to send to the US. Wise can’t receive USD in Japan. My usd bank doesn’t wire internationally. Sony Bank can wire usd internationally but it looks like they want to date me, marry me, ravage my fridge and get to know all my relatives for any potential trial terrosits before they can even start the discussion. It looks like I have to convert usd to JPY then convert again to USD which is not ideal at all. Any alternatives?
Searched the wiki and sub but didn’t find USD-> USD there.
