My sister and I will be traveling to Japan for the first time, and we’ll be staying with our Aunt who is a resident of Oshu, Iwate. We don’t want to be too much of a burden on her so, we’re researching in advance.
Could I please get advice on some things:
1- Is the JR pass usable and worth it if we plan to travel from Iwate to Tokyo a lot? Most of our bucket list is in Tokyo and we aren’t familiar with any places in Iwate.
2- Does anyone have suggestions for places to visit near Iwate? Our aunt won’t be available during weekdays and we want to try exploring by ourselves to make the most of our trip.
