I want to get some insights on the itinerary. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Since it’s coming up soon, I just want to get some insights on potential problems that you guys can foresee!
Things to note:
* Will be coming from the US
* Will be staying 13 days and 12 nights
* This is my 2nd time going to Japan, but my partner’s first time
* Our budget isn’t really on the cheap side, nor is it on the expensive side
* This is for 2 people!
* Food places will be random, but we also made reservations for some (will mention below if ever)
**ITINERARY**:
Day 1 (May 18): Tokyo – **Roppongi/Minato**
* Arrival at 6 pm in NRT
* Hotel: Roppongi area (Close to Tokyo Tower)
* Dinner at Gonpachi Nishi-Azabu
* Roam Around
* Tokyo Tower at night
Day 2 (May 19): Tokyo – **Shibuya**
* note\*\*:\*\* it’s the Sanja Matsuri festival and I wanted this day to be done in the Taito area (so debating whether to switch this and the 3rd day)
* Roam Around:
* Meiji Jingu
* Yoyogi Park
* Harajuku
* Shibuya
* will also do a Hair Spa at Ritts
Day 3 (May 20): Tokyo – **Taito/Akihabara**
* Roam Around
* Sensoji Temple
* Ameyoko Shopping District

* Batting cage, Arcade, etc.
Day 4 (May 21) – **Yamanashi**
* Check out Hotel in Roppongi
* Roam Around
* Fuji Q Highland (ONLY ACTIVITY for this day)
* Travel to Matsumoto, Nagano
* HOTEL: in Matsumoto, Nagano
Day 5 (May 22): Nagano – **Matsumoto**

* Kamikochi (Morning)
* Matsumoto ( Late Afternoon)
Day 6 (May 23): Gifu – **Nakatsugawa**

* Head to Nakatsugawa, Gifu
* RENT A CAR

* HOTEL: Ryokan in Nakatsugawa
Day 7 (May 24): Gifu- **Takayama**

* Head to Takayama, Gifu (using car)

* Kobe Animal Kingdom (we’ve been obsessed with Capybara so that’s our main reason for going; didn’t want to go to an animal cafe due to extremely long lines)
* Potential: Chinatown & Venus Bridge
* Go back to Osaka

Day 10 (May 27): **Osaka**
* Roam Around (morning / afternoon)
* Osaka Castle
* Tenjimbashisuji
* Higashidori
* Osaka Station
* Amerikamura area

Day 11 (May 28): Tokyo **- Odaiba**
* Check out Osaka Hotel

* Fly to TOKYO HND airport
* Check In Hotel (near Tokyo station)

* Odaiba (DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, Gundam Base Tokyo, etc.)
Day 12 (May 29): Tokyo **- Toshima/ Shinjuku**
* Roam around: Mainly for shopping
Day 13 (May 30): Tokyo – **Ginza**
* Check Out Hotel
* Roam Around
* Ginza
* Tsukiji Market
* Head to NRT airport (flight 7 PM)
