Hi! Me and my partner are going to Japan soon (landing in Narita airport), and are being joined by cousin who arrives on the same day but later in the day (on a different flight, we land at 13:00, they land at 17:00). Our initial idea was to stay in Tokyo for the beginning of the trip, and go towards Osaka region in the second half, but due to some circumstances, this has had to be flipped. After some research, it seems that flying from Narita to Osaka is far cheaper than taking the N’EX to Tokyo and then the Shinkansen to Osaka.
Since we need to wait for my cousin to arrive before we can all go together, we would have about 8 hours before the Osaka flight, and let’s say about 4 hours of free time accounting for the time it takes to get through customs and then return to the airport to check in and go through security.
So we were wondering if there’s anything we can do in the mean time, so we don’t waste time doing nothing in the airport for a few hours. I’ve heard Narita-san is nice, but just wanted to see if anyone else has any suggestions!
As a side question, there will be 4 hours between my cousins flight landing, and the osaka flight departing, do you guys reckon this is enough time for them to go through customs and all that + check in to the new flight? There is another flight that is 2 hours between, but I have a feeling that is \*definitely\* cutting it too close.
