Looking for better understand grammar. I am a noob, so I find myself always googling but still cannot find answers sometimes. My understanding is that the later is “do one action and then the next sequentially”.
歩き続ける vs 歩きて続ける
Bonus: is there a difference between these two below? Another grammar point that I have made interchangeably. I have not heard anyone correct me yet.
遊びにいくvs 遊んでいく

歩き続ける means keep walking. 歩きて続ける doesn’t make sense because 歩きて is not a word. 歩いて is, but 歩いて続ける is not a correct way of using it.
遊びにいく means you go (somewhere) to play. Like アメリカに遊びにいく (Go to America to play.)
遊んでいく means you play before you go somewhere. So for example if you’re done working on a school project at your classmate’s house, they might ask you: 帰る前にNintendo Switchで遊んでいく? (Wanna play with the Nintendo Switch before you go home?)
