Do we still have to allow hosts of AirBnB rentals to scan, copy, or take photos of our ID in Japan?
Is there a law that says we have to do this? Or has this practice stopped.
I’ve used Booking many times in Japan, and the most the hotel staff or home staff do is just check your ID. No photocopies.
I’m trying to book an AirBNB but the hosts insists that I need to show my ID. (I’m a resident of Japan)
If anyone has any info on this, please share.
