Hello from NYC r/Tokyo! I run a startup in NYC that solves the front door problem of apartment buildings with a smart “buzzer” system. I have been getting a lot of website hits from the Tokyo area.
While I used to live in Shibuya in a past life, I can’t quite remember exactly what the apartment buildings used to control the front doors. From what I remember, many of them were basic keys.
If anyone is walking around their favorite neighborhoods and willing to send me some photos of the front doors / access control systems of small apartment buildings or comment on what they know, I would be eternally grateful!
