In th song “asleep Among the endives” spears this phrase that I don’t quite understand: 丸めた大地のてのひらに

Is it like “(having) the round earth (planet )in the palm” or “(having) enrolled soil in the palm (enrolled by the palm itself)” or something like that?
Maybe there is a pun addressing earth like planet and earth like soil enrolled. I don’t know.
