First of all, thanks all for the goldmine of information that is this community.
My husband and I would like to move to Japan in the year, and I can’t find an answer to a specific case.
I’m in the process to sign for a job in Japan and they will debute my COE process, to later apply for the Engineer visa. I asked to get a COE also for my husband, as dependant.
Let’s say during the wonderful 4 months delay to get the COE, my husband find a job, can he use the COE provided as “Dependant” to apply for the Engineer Visa then?
Or should we ask for the Dependant Visa, enter the country, and then ask to change the Visa to a Engineer visa?
Considering what I read, I would say the first option is possible as the COE and the Visa are two distinguish things, but don’t want to freak out the immigration.
