So I heard that depending on the phone, it might not work with regular SIM cards/contracts in Japan. I remember someone explaining something about frequency or something along those lines. I tried using sites like [this one here](https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker/JP/samsung-galaxy-a55-5g) to try and figure out if my phone will work if I get a contract in Japan, but it’s all gibberish to me. A friend of mine had a OnePlus 8T and when he moved to Japan, he went to Docomo I think and they told him that his phone wouldn’t work with the Japanese SIM card so he had to get an entirely new phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy A55 that I purchased about 1-2 months ago and I’d really like to know if it’ll work before moving to Japan.
