Naturalization and buying a house. What would be the best order to do things?

I’m recently married and my wife is changing to a dependent visa since she’s had to leave her job to move in with me as we’ve both decided to move to Tokyo because of my job situation. Now that we live in Tokyo we are spending quite a lot of money on Rent so we are hoping to buy a house as soon as possible(We didn’t know much about Tokyo, so we are considering going to a sleeper city as we noticed the transportation is quite good) as the home loan calculators say I can afford a 2500~3000万円 house.

Now we’ve also been thinking about Naturalization, I’ve been living here for 7 years already and I feel at home in Japan so I would really like to Naturalize to make things easier such as starting a company etc.

But given our situation, we are not sure what should be the priority. My wife as of now has no plans of going back to work but she would like to start a side business if possible(She will get permission from immigration first) .

Given this situation I’m unsure if it would be ideal to apply for Naturalization first, and then apply for the house loan, or if we should try to complete the requirements for the house loan first(If I recall there’s 6 requirements of which we need 3 to be approved for a house loan some realtor told us) and then apply for Naturalization. Would anyone know what’s the best thing to focus on right now?

Thanks for your help.
