Just wondering about general experience egg freezing in Tokyo and costs surrounding it?
I understand theres subsidies at the moment which lowers the cost but I am struggling to wrap my head around the ongoing costs for storage and what this might be!
If anyone has experience doing it.
I would love to know how it was/ how long it took and how much it costs.
TIA

No in Tokyo, but I froze 11 embryos in Kansai. The process was about 30万円, before the subsidies were introduced. It may be cheaper now. It costs about 2万円 a year to keep the remaining embryos frozen.
The actual process was fine – it involved a lot of hormonal injections and an egg retrieval. It took about 3 months from initial consultation to the extraction.
