I entered Japan last year on a highly skilled professional, 5 year visa
Three months ago I got married to a Japanese national.
From my understanding, I can apply for permanent residency after three years being married, so is there any reason to apply for a spouse visa in my situation?
I understand that a spouse visa let’s you do extra stuff like work any job, etc, but I don’t plan to change jobs, so other than that, is it advisable to just stay on my current visa and apply for PR three years later?
