4 Day Tokyo Quick Trip – Most Important Things not to miss

Hi folks, I hope you’re all well.

I’m taking a very short trip to visit Japan next week (4 days is nothing I know, it’s really just a detour from a much longer trip to Hong Kong) and wanted to do a quick check for anything I might be missing in Tokyo.

I’m making the trip in large part because I work for a Japanese company so I will have friends/colleagues showing me around for a lot of it, but I have a good few hours spare on three of my 4 days and wanted to check if there was anything I absolutely shouldn’t miss/if people had specific recommendations?

Staying in Kachidoki but happy to move around.

I’m already doing the following:

* Kabuki Theatre
* Meiji Shrine
* Junji Ito Exhibition
* Imperial Residence
* Parliament
* General Shibuya tour
* Tokyo Sky Tree
* Asakusa

Plus various food/Izakaya things with friends.

Lower cost options are best but obviously weak Yen means that’s not so much of an issue in many ways (sorry Japan). I have a tiny, tiny amount of Japanese from work but generally I’m pretty crap there.

Specifically I’m looking for experiences that are a) meaningful and b) can be managed in a 1-3 hour time slot. Love museums, historical sites, unique cultural elements. Not such big on more modern cultural things (ie Manga/Anime, video games) but still some interest there. Anything that’s limited time, going away, or otherwise a unique opportunity obviously also welcomed.

I hope this isn’t too vague or too useless, its really about making the most of my time and making sure the free spots I do have are put to good use! Thank you!
