My wife and I are traveling to Japan for the first time next week. Have been reading through this feed to get recs and itinerary ideas. Hoping to get some input. We already did our customs QR code and will get Ubigi eSIMs for our phones. Downloaded Google translate, Klook, and mymizu apps. Watching Japanese for travelers YouTube so we can know basic phrases.
Day 1-2 Disney: Fly into HND from USA arriving at 1715. Transfer to T2 from T3 with 2 carry on, 2 backpack and 1 checked bag. Take Limousine bus to Disney. Check in to Disneyland Hotel and enter parks for last few hours to grab food and explore. Any recs? Day 2: Full DisneySea day. Rides, food, souvenirs. Any recs here? We will get in for early entry and get premier access to go to the most popular rides. Plan to send checked bag through luggage service to next hotel in Kyoto.
Day 3-5 Kyoto: Take an AM Shinkansen from Tokyo to Kyoto (book on Klook). Check in to Higashiyama area hotel. Explore and search for ramen place. Day 4: Full day Kyoto. Start at 6AM. Hit all the popular spots (bamboo forest, adashino nenbutsuji, fushimi inari, kinkaku-ji, maybe Kiyomizu-dera?, anything else?) Day 5: Morning trip to Nara on Aoniyoshi train. Feed the deer have lunch and explore the area. Any recs? Then, back to Kyoto for dinner at Nishiki market or elsewhere. Send checked luggage back to Tokyo.
Day 6 Hakone: Travel to Hakone. Take AM Shinkansen to Odawara. Hotel pickup to Gora Karaku. 1 night here for onsen experience.
Day 7-10 Tokyo: Travel to Tokyo. Stay at Park Hotel Tokyo. Walk Akihabara area, Imperial Palace, Tokyo tower, Meiji Shrine. Find dinner. Day 8: Possible day trip to Kawaguchiko for views of Mt Fuji and lunch. Day 9: TeamLab experience. Transfer to Shibuya Excel Stream. Shibuya crossing, Shibuya Sky. Food- Yakiniku experience, Katsudon, or sushi. Day 10: Full day Shibuya and other areas. Suggestions?
Day 11: AM flight from HND back to USA.
