I’m starting a few months work tomorrow at a research institute and am meeting the team on arrival. I’ve heard the culture isn’t too traditional, they employ foreigners and Japanese isn’t a requirement. I have biscuits from my country and business cards at the ready.
I’m not feeling too anxious about this but is there anything I should expect/do/bring along?
As an aside if anyone knows a good Japanese teacher for 1-1 lessons in the Yokohama area (I’m in hodogaya/nishi) I’d love to hear suggestions (am using duolingo/hello talk/books already). Thanks!
